### Leadership & Staff
- Amira Totah (Operations Assistant): With a background in psychology, Amira is naturally curious about people and the ways our surroundings shape everyday experience. An East Bay native and graduate of UC Riverside, she brings that thoughtful perspective to studio operations. Outside the studio, she enjoys Palestinian food with her family and spending time at the pottery wheel.
- Bailey Sullivan (Operations Director): Bailey Sullivan grew up understanding, almost by osmosis, that a beautiful home is not a luxury but a necessity. The daughter of two designers, she was raised in an environment where spaces were always intentional—where flowers appeared on tables and rooms were made to feel, as she puts it, magical.Bailey honed her strategic instincts at Sonder, a global hospitality company, where she developed brand standards across properties worldwide. She arrived at Sullivan Studio with a clear conviction: that the firm’s work deserved recognition equal to its quality, and that getting there required building the right foundation.As Operations Director, she applies that same systems thinking to operations, culture, and brand.
- Caroline Brede (Senior Designer): Caroline’s perspective was shaped by a childhood spent between Norway, Hong Kong, Spain, and Malaysia. She began her design career in Kuala Lumpur and brings more than 20 years of international experience, with studies in Malaysia and at UC Berkeley Extension. Nature, fashion, music, and time with family in Sweden continue to inspire her.
- Lily Huo (Junior Designer): The daughter of an interior designer, Lily grew up in Guangzhou China surrounded by an appreciation for thoughtful spaces, art, and literature. She earned her BFA in Interior Design at Rhode Island School of Design before beginning her design career in California. She enjoys tennis, camping at national parks, and reading at her favorite local café.
- Linda Sullivan (Founder & Principal): Linda Sullivan has been called "the client whisperer"—and it is perhaps the most precise description of what she does. Before anything else, Linda listens: to what clients say, to what they need, and to the life they are trying to build.Linda is the Founder and Principal of Sullivan Studio and a Bay Area native with over 35 years of experience in interior architecture and design. After completing a BS in Interior Design & obtaining her NCIDQ license, her career began at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, where she worked on projects including the historic renovation of San Francisco’s Palace Hotel, before going on to found Sullivan Studio in 2006.That grounding in commercial practice gives Linda a distinct advantage in running her own firm, where she brings both architectural rigor and a rare empathetic intelligence to every project.
- Samantha Powell (Senior Designer): Samantha grew up on the San Francisco Peninsula in a family of painters, sculptors, welders, and woodworkers, shaping an appreciation for craftsmanship and things made by hand. A FIDM Interior Design graduate with more than 15 years of design experience, she creates spaces that balance beauty and function. Outside the studio, she spends her time taking pilates classes, doing projects around her home or in the garden.
- Silvia Hendrawan (Design Director): Silvia Hendrawan grew up in Java, Indonesia, where a garden outside her bedroom window was her first and most lasting inspiration. That early sensibility never left her, and it quietly shapes everything she designs. Silvia is Design Director at Sullivan Studio, where she brings a BFA in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach, and LEED accreditation that reflects a commitment to sustainable, conscientious design.After creating flagship stores for high-end retailers like Thomas Pink, Prada, and Bvlgari, Silvia discovered what she valued most was the personal connection that only residential projects make possible: the chance to get to know a family and help create their dream home.
- Yoko Kato (Senior Designer): Born and raised in Japan, Yoko brings more than 25 years of experience and a refined approach rooted in clean lines, thoughtful function, and architectural clarity. An NCIDQ-certified designer and LEED Accredited Professional, she earned her BFA in Interior Design at Kent State University. Outside the studio, she enjoys tennis and time with her husband and daughter.
